Long stay in Switzerland: why an appart·hōtel beats a hotel and a standard rental
- long-term stay
The appart·hōtel: a third way
A classic hotel becomes prohibitive from the second week onwards, and offers no real living environment. A standard furnished rental involves a lease, a security deposit, an agency, a complete application dossier — all obstacles for newcomers. Nonanteneuf appart·hōtel sits between the two: hotel comfort and services (linen provided, weekly housekeeping, 7-day support), and the freedom and equipment of an apartment (full kitchen, living space, parking depending on the property). Our accommodations are rated 3 stars by HotellerieSuisse in the Serviced Apartments category — a guarantee of uniform quality across all our properties.
Our destinations in French-speaking Switzerland
Geneva — two addresses: Genève Étang / Airport (96 accommodations, ideal for international organisations and airport arrivals) and Genève Plainpalais (19 studios, creative district, close to the University and HUG). Vevey — 35 accommodations on the Vaud Riviera, 300 metres from the station. Aigle — 56 apartments in the heart of the Chablais, 200 metres from the station, with free parking and EV charging. Sierre — 62 rooms (some of which will soon be equipped with kitchens), in the Valaisian sun city, with quick access to Crans-Montana. Every destination is chosen for its strategic position: close to train stations, town centres and regional economic hubs.
Conditions depending on length of stay and commune registration
For stays under 3 months, no lease or security deposit is required. For stays from 3 months, a housing contract is signed — which allows official registration with the commune as a resident. This registration is often essential in Switzerland for obtaining a residence permit, opening a bank account or joining a health insurance fund.
Who is it for?
Expats waiting for permanent housing. Professionals on long-term assignments. Cross-border workers looking for a Swiss base. Students in training in French-speaking Switzerland. Relocating families. Anyone who needs stable, comfortable accommodation without heavy administrative constraints — for a few weeks or several months.
